Each holiday season, The Center joins the National Council on Problem Gambling, the Center on Youth Gambling Problems & High-Risk Behaviors and lotteries in the United States (including the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency), Canada and internationally to send an important reminder:
Parents, family members and friends should NOT give lottery tickets as gifts to minors under the age of 18.
