Summary:
Maryland’s Voluntary Exclusion Program (VEP), a tool for problem gamblers, involves multiple community partner collaborations to work on behalf of individuals struggling to control gambling behaviors. This webinar will provide an opportunity to learn about the VEP and how it operates involving numerous points of contacts. The enrollment and day to day processes, led by the Maryland Lottery, require cooperation from casinos, the Center, and other organizations. Removals from the VEP require collaboration between the Lottery, the Center, and local behavioral health providers. If individuals violate the VEP, it can result in a charge of criminal trespass, involving the Lottery, Casinos, the criminal justice system, and the Center. Learn how you can become involved in promoting the VEP as a recovery tool for problem gamblers.
